Parking reminder

Thank you for the many of you that have stuck to the no parking on site unless you have a permit request.  Unfortunately, maybe with different people picking up and some people seeing that we are not checking everyday, there has been a bit of a drift back to parking on site.  This means that those with permits have been unable to park.  Please accept this as a reminder that there is no parking on site without a permit and ensure that anyone who may be picking up your children are aware of this - grandparents, other relatives, childminders etc don’t get this blog so they need you to let them know please. Thank you for your help.

Message for Y2 Parents

This term we have been learning about changes over time and focussing on the changes throughout history of the people who help us (such has doctors, fire fighters and teachers). To conclude our topic this term, we would love the children to experience what school was like for children in the Victorian times.  On Thursday 13th February we will be having a Victorian Day. Please could all of year 2 come in dressed up as Victorian children.  To help give you an idea of what your child could use as a costume, boys could wear a long-sleeve white shirt, waistcoat, loose trousers, black shoes (these could be their school shoes) and a flat cap. Girls could wear a long-sleeved black or blue dress, white pinafore-style dress over the top with black shoes (again, these could be their school shoes). We are not expecting you to buy any outfits, as hopefully, you can find clothes at home for your child to dress up in.
To help create a better experience, we have arranged with the kitchen to make packed lunches in paper bags for those who would be having a hot dinner. If your child has a packed lunch on that day please let us know and we will send them home the day before with a paper bag to use.
If you have any questions at all please come and find us.
Thank you!

Spelling Bee Y5 Team

Last week’s newsblog contained news that our Y5 team -Emmanuella, Saifan, Esther and Ibrahim - had got through to the final of the Spelling Bee event, run by Bradon Forest School, by coming second in their heat.  The final, held this week, saw them battle valiantly but they didn’t make the top three.  The people leading the event complemented them on their dedication - even practising during their break!  Well done team and thank you Mr Kirby for supporting the children.

Church at Tadpole

It’s not too late to fill in the questionnaire to find out what you’d like to see St Andrew’s church providing for families connected with Tadpole Farm. You’ll find it here, it won’t take more than 5 minutes.  Thank you to those of you who already have.

If you would like more information or to chat rather than answer computerised questions, please contact me.

Many thanks
Sally
