Message for Y2 Parents

On the first day back from the Christmas Holidays we are going to the forest as part of our hook day. Please could everyone in Y2 come in Forest School clothes including warm jumpers/coats, wellies and a spare change of shoes so they don't wear wellies for the whole day!

Thank you

Miss Brandenburg and Miss Webb

Photography Club

Some very talented children were involved in photography club in 2019 and produced some amazing photos - they will shortly be added to the 'photos' section of the school website. Enjoy!

The photographs were entered into a Swindon wide competition and we're delighted to announce that Emily S, Ben W and Isabelle E made up the top three! A fantastic achievement - well done!

Prayer Space

In the lead up to Christmas, all of the children have had the opportunity to access to a Prayer Space that was set up in the shed in the playground. A huge amount of time and effort went into making it a very special experience - a huge thank you to Mrs Firth and Mrs Wathen for making it possible. Below is a collage of the activities that the children enjoyed.

Next term, on Friday 14th February, we will be having a special fundraising day for reading in the school!

This will include a 'break the rules' dress down day (more information on this to come soon!) and the chance to buy a doughnut whilst being read a class story. We will be using the funds raised to book an exciting author (or two!) to hold writing workshops and reading sessions with the children. We are really excited about this event.
