If your child is going to Forest School this week, please can you send in named hat, scarf and gloves as they can get quiet cold when out in the woods.

News from St Andrew's Church
As Christmas is approaching all too rapidly here are all the dates for our Christmas Services.  You'll find more details about each one on our website.  Before Christmas starts, on 9th December Church at Tadpole Garden Village will be happening at 4pm as usual.  Please join us for refreshments, music, Bible reading, craft and prayer as we think about the true meaning of Advent.

Lunchbox leftovers
We have had a few queries from parents of children who have lunchboxes about the children bringing their leftovers home with them.  We recognise this may be frustrating for you but we currently do not have food recycling here and, even if we did, we would be still paying for waste disposal by the weight of the bin lifted and that would be a cost not covered by lunchbox user.  More importantly it also allows you to see what your child has eaten or not from the lunch you have provided.
We have researched other local schools and they all follow the same approach of sending lunch leftovers home with the children for exactly the same reasons.
Some parents we have spoken to put paper bags in the lunchbox for collecting the leftovers or ask children just to use empty packets for collecting waste items.   If a child has an item that would leak in their lunchbox then they may ask the lunchtime staff if they can tip out the leaky product before putting the container back in their lunchbox.

Match Report
The boys came up against a very good side in St Francis and unfortunately lost 9-0.  This score line could have been more if it wasn't for great defending from the boys, especially William and Harley, who both featured for Tadpole for the first time. Muhammad again proved to a vital player in squad as he made many great saves to keep the scores down. That's the last game before the winter break but I'm sure the boys will put the effort in at school to get back out there in February.
A huge thank you to Miss Wood and Mrs Philpott for arranging the games and giving up their own time to accompany the teams at these matches.
