Football Team News
Our Y5/6 footballers are taking part in the Swindon Schools Knockout Cup and, last week, had their first match of the season.  They played Chiseldon and achieved a great result Chiseldon 0 – 1 Tadpole. It was a very exciting and closely contested match.  After Joseph scored with a clinical low strike, Muhammad made 3 or 4 excellent saves in goal and Daniel made some fantastic goal saving challenges in defence.  It was a great team effort and the team were complemented by watching parents, both Tadpole and Chiseldon for the way they played together and their positive support of each other.
The squad were Muhammad, Daniel, Luke, Owain, Nathan, Dion, Darcy, Kevin and Joseph.

Vacancies in School
Have you been thinking about changing careers to work in a school but would like a taster of what it might be like?  Want a role that fits in with school term times and the school day?  We’re looking for Playleaders to work with us, either lunchtimes or after school – we can be flexible with days and number of hours a week.  Many of those who joined us as Playleaders have gone on to develop their careers as teaching assistants and some have gone on to teacher training too – it’s a great way in to school based work.   Take a look at the roles on Eteach - Playleader Vacancies

Teacher/Child/Parent Meeting Sign up
Thank you to all those of you who signed up for parents meetings.  Mr Spencer and I have done our best to allocate slots as per your requests.  The time slots allocated will be emailed out by the school office on Monday 1st October.

Harvest Service
Just a reminder, our Harvest Service, which will be led by our Key Stage One Children (Y1 &Y2 parents are invited to join us), is on Tuesday 2nd October at 9.15 in the School Hall.  All children are invited to bring in £1 plus a dried food item such as cereals, pasta, tins, long life milk etc, which will be donated to the Swindon Food Collective.

Compost donations
We are still in need of compost as we have more planting to do – the beds and box planters are beginning to look lovely and we have plants left to put in – if you can donate bags of compost we would be very grateful.

FOTF Meeting
The Friends of Tadpole Farm will be meeting on Thursday 4th October at 7pm. We need to build up the team and are looking for a new Chair and Treasurer – come along and offer your support.  There are new ideas to be shared and projects to take part in but we need a team to do that.  Look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

LilyPad – notification of staff training closure date
Please note that Lilypad after school provision will be closed for one evening on 26th November due to staff training.
