2017/18 Newsblog Term 6 Week 4

Hello All

Phew! What a scorcher!  Thank you for sending in hats etc – will be needed again this week.  Spare clothes for YR and YN would be a good idea again this week as there is lots of water play going on – spares of their PE kit will do. Just a short blog this week but I’m starting with a big SHOUT OUT to all past and current volunteers that have helped FOTF.  We know that the time you give, or have given, is really valuable to the work the school do and want you to know that we value each and every one of you and the time you gave and are giving.  The funds raised by previous committees and volunteers is very much in evidence around school and we are very grateful for the monies raised by those dedicated groups of volunteers.  The current FOTF committee are putting lots of effort in to prepping the Summer Fayre – a number of you are already helping with this, but many hands might light work so please contact the FOTF committee via their Facebook page, using the newly set up classlist or by emailing and offer to help set-up in the morning; run a stall for an hour; or help clear up at the end - see below for details.  All those who have helped with this fundraising group in the past or are helping now....THANK YOU, your gift of time is very much appreciated.

2. Summer fair
Urgent. Unfortunately due to a lack of  volunteers our most loved stalls, the Tattoo & Face paint Stall as well as the Sweetie Cup & Squishy Tombola Stall are in danger of being cancelled. Would you be able to give 1h of your time this Saturday to make the following Stalls a possibility?
a)Tattoos & Face paint with Stencils would require:
- 3 volunteers from 12pm-1pm
- 3 volunteers from 1pm -2pm
- 3 volunteers from 2pm-3pm

b)Sweet Cup & Squishy Tombola would require:
- 2 volunteers from 12pm-1pm
- 2 volunteers from 1pm-2pm

The Summer Fair 7th July is now only a handful of days away. The weather is looking gorgeous for the day. This year we are converting the mugger into a seating area and we are also excited to introduce a new summer fair layout together with a token system for all the fun stalls and games. We are happy to say that amongst all the fantastic stalls that we managed to organise for the fair, the children will be able to have a go at archery on the day as well.
Your last chance to beat the queues and  purchase raffle tickets and fun stall tokens in advance will be Wednesday at school pick up.

3. Community Cafe Tuesday
This week the Community Cafe will be enjoying this beautiful weather and meeting at the park again by school from 9-10:15am. We will still have hot drinks, cold drinks and refreshments. There will also be toys for the younger children and we will be selling raffle tickets ready for our Summer Fayre. We would love you to come and say hi even if it’s for a quick drink and cake.
