2017/18 Newsblog - End of school year

Hello All

Thank you to all those of you who came along to our end of term service today - it was lovely to share this with you.  It's been an exciting year - the opening of our Key Stage 2 (Year 3 upwards) and, next year, our first Year 6 class; another successful year for our Friends of Tadpole Farm fundraising committee, who are looking forward to more innovative events next year; and many happy memories of great learning and living our shared values. Thank you for the many lovely gifts and positive comments you have shared with all the staff - we really appreciate them very much - your continued support is valued by us all!

If you haven't yet had time to fill in the Parent Report Feedback via link given with last week's newsblog email - please follow link https://goo.gl/forms/i5Vn6GrGfIdMnT3w2 before the end of this week.   We really value your feedback on the service we provide to your child, your family and the wider community.  Please follow this link and complete our Parent Report Feedback and Survey before it closes at the end of this week - Thank you.

No dates for your diary this week as I'm sure you all have lots of exciting things planned...  towards the end of August, I will set out all the dates for the new school year in a long newsblog, so those of you that like to have as much warning as possible can put them in your calendar.  These dates will also be available on the school website.

Friends of Tadpole Farm News from Kristina, Chairperson

The PTA here at Tadpole Farm is called FOTF (Friends of Tadpole Farm) and is run entirely by volunteers, ordinary school parents just like you and me.
We organise events throughout the year to raise money for the school to enable it to purchase additional equipment that would not be covered by the normal school budget.
The additions that we are able to buy benefit all of the children in school and enhance their time here at Tadpole Farm.
With the school reaching its full capacity, we are expanding our newly formed committee. Various committee positions with different degrees of responsibilities are emerging. Available roles range from Vice Chair to Secretary to Events Coordinator and Online Platform Manager as well as general ad hoc volunteer opportunities.
If that sounds interesting to you, get in touch!
PTA Communication Platform - Classlist
From now on, our new communication platform for all things Friends of Tadpole Farm based will be Classlist. Any FOTF events, important updates and relevant information will be posted on there. Of course, Mrs Leo will update the school calendar to show the FOTF events too and FOTF information will be in the newsblog on a regular basis.
If you still have not joined Classlist follow this link: www.classlist.com
Over 70% of the school is now registered on Classlist. As a thank you for taking the time and helping us to implement a more efficient system to communicate with you and organise events we will be holding a raffle.  One person from each year group, who is registered  on Classlist, will have the chance to win two day passes to the gym. The winners will be announced shortly and contacted via Classlist.

News from St Andrew’s Church

The 7 members of St Andrew’s Church who came in and helped with the Prayer Space last week all really enjoyed meeting children from every class and helping them explore prayer.  It was great to see how well all the children engaged with the different activities, from praying for different parts of the world to asking help for things they struggle with individually.
Churches don’t have summer holidays so if you find yourself at a loose end on a Sunday morning, why not pop along to St Andrew’s at 10am for one of our services?  There will be activities for children at every morning service throughout the holidays.  You’ll find full details on St Andrew’s new noticeboard, just outside reception.
Our Children’s service at 10am on 2nd September will have a special ‘Back to School’ focus.
Our next Church at Tadpole Garden village service at Tadpole Farm will be on Sunday 16th September at 4pm.
Praying you would all have a relaxing and refreshing summer holiday.
