This Term's Value - Trust

Trust is essential to human life and lies at the heart of all relationships. Trust entails vulnerability, putting yourself in others’ hands. We have to trust experts – pilots, dentists, teachers, doctors. Yet, within our society, there often seems to be mutual distrust between people and those responsible for governing them.
Trust is central to civilised society, to living together in harmony, so it is to be valued and honoured. With wisdom and discernment, we can relearn to trust. We can begin to rebuild trust in our mistrustful society by being reliable ourselves, by not letting people down. Similarly, when we work with others, if we are willing to let go of control ourselves and trust in the abilities and integrity of others, everyone can be enriched. Jesus, after all, entrusted his ongoing work to his disciples and ultimately to us.

  • How are pupils equipped to know who and what to trust?
  • How can we encourage and promote relationships of trust in school?
  • How do pupils learn to make and trust their own judgements?
For more information and ideas of how you can discuss this value at home please see pdf attached to the email notifying you of this blog.

Uniform Reminder

A reminder that our uniform is detailed on http://www.tadpolefarmcepa.co.uk/parent-pages/uniform/.

Particularly, may I remind you that footwear needs to be suitable for playtimes - no open toed footwear and all footwear should be black please.  We know that, as parents, we all like to have growing room in items we buy but footwear needs to fit - an oversized shoe flies off easily when playing football or running!  It's better that any hair longer than shoulder length is tied back - please could this be done with hair accessories in black/blue/white without characters on and bows of a small size that cannot be caught up in things - thank you.  We had a bit of jewellery appearing last term so just a reminder that watches and stud earrings are the only types of jewellery that may be worn in school.  Please could you also check that your child's PE kit fits with the uniform guidelines - plain white round necked t-shirt, black non-logo'd shorts, school hoodie or black non-logo'd hoodie/tracksuit top, black non-logo'd joggers/leggings or tracksuit bottoms. Thank you.
