Welcome Back to Term 5

Hello All

Hope you had a lovely Easter break!  We are all looking forward to seeing you and your children tomorrow.  This is just a short blog with the dates for this term - there have been a few additions and changes since the beginning of the year.  It's worth downloading Our Schools App, as this will keep you up to date with the school calendar and can even give you reminders, if you would find this useful.  Over the Easter break 2 new play areas opened on Tadpole Garden Village and the allotments also opened too - school has an allotment area there and there will be more news about this soon.

SIAMS Inspection - Thank you
Thank you to the many of you who took the time to complete the online questionnaire or pop in and see the inspector.  Your children showed how they live the values on a daily basis, as they do everyday, and he commented on how much they understood about the values, despite the children still being so young.  Our report from the inspector will come out in a few weeks time, once it has been proof read and adjudicated by the SIAMS team.
There were many positive comments on the parent questionnaires and some suggestions, which you know we always welcome, that will be considered by the leadership team next term.  One suggestion was to have the term's value displayed where parents gather at the beginning and end of each day - to help that link between home and school - we'll definitely look in to this.  As many of you acknowledged, I am more than happy to meet with parents to discuss any concerns or suggestions you have so please feel free to ask the office for an appointment if you would like to discuss any of your comments further.

Easter Experience Update
Last week I enthusiastically invited you all to the Easter Experience but forgot that your children will not have visited it with their classes until Wednesday so, many apologies, but the Easter Experience will only be open to parents after school on Wednesday 5th April.  This way the children can tell you about what they have done and you can also see the outcomes of their visits too.

Message from WIMS11
Although WIMS11 run their clubs separately to school I have been asked to pass on to any parents that the last YR Friday club was last week 31/3 and the last Y1/2 club is this Tuesday 4/4.  WIMS11 will be emailing you re their club dates for Term 5/6 shortly.  There are a few spaces at the clubs if you are interested - email info@WIMS11.com

Red Nose Day update
Thank you for your generous contributions and toy sale donations/purchases - £264.80 was the total raised.

Tapestry, SeeSaw and Show Me sessions
This week sees our popular 'Show Me' sessions after school - you can drop in with your child to look at the learning they have been doing this term and to have a go at some of the activities they have used for learning.  YR - Y2 - Monday session runs from 3:30 - 5:30; Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 - 4:30; YN is the last 30 minutes of the session on those days.  Access to Tapestry and SeeSaw reopens from 3/4, for this week and the holiday weeks. If you are unable to access please let us know.

REMINDER - FOTF Meeting Wednesday 5/4 7:30 Jovial Monk all welcome :)
