Parents can bring any non Tadpole siblings to have pics taken with rest of siblings to the small hall at 8.30am.

Reminder re our first Sunday Worship Service from Revd. Sally
Our first worship service at Tadpole Farm is coming up on Sunday 3rd December at 4pm.  Everyone is very welcome whether you regularly attend a church or not – there will be activities for all ages and a chance to worship together.
We will also be receiving donations of toys which your children don’t play with any more, but which another child could enjoy and will pass them onto the Women’s refuge.  This is a great opportunity to discuss this term’s value of generosity at home, so please raid the toy box and come along with your donations on 3rd at 4pm.

Update from FOTF – Christmas Fayre and secondhand school uniform sales
We had a really successful FOTF committee meeting and your Year Group representatives are all getting ready to talk to you about the upcoming Christmas Fayre.  The YN, YR and Y1 children will all be bringing cups home on Monday for you to, kindly, fill with wrapped sweets for the sweet tombola - extra donations welcome.  The cups should be brought back on Friday 24th November as part of our wear your own clothes to school day.  On the same day the Y2, 3, 4 and 5 children are asked to bring in one or more bottles for the bottle tombola stall.  Donations are also welcome for the secondhand book stall - please donate your secondhand children's books for the secondhand book stall. A box will be available in the school office reception area for book donations to be left in.
Our secondhand school uniform stall will be at the Christmas Fayre but is also available on Thursdays in school.

Quick Updates - Christmas Dinner Booking Update; return borrowed spares; sickness advice for parents
Christmas Dinner Booking Update - could all parents who wish for their child to have Christmas dinner at school on Wednesday 13th December please check that they have a choice selected on Parent Pay - if your child normally has packed lunches and would like a Christmas dinner on that day then make sure you have your access details for getting on line on Parent Pay;
Return borrowed spares - we lend out many pairs of pants, socks, tights school uniform but are finding our stock is dwindling - please could you all check at home for any borrowed items that you have yet to return and return asap - any donations also welcome; Sickness advice for parents - we are in the midst of another round of coughs/colds and tummy bugs - it's perfectly normal at this time of year but we do need your help to protect the more vulnerable people in our school community.  If your child has vomited at all then they must stay away from school for a full 48 hours - please don't send them back in, even if they have only been sick once.  This web link may be useful -

Young Carers Update
We have a Young Carers group at school and I asked them if they would like to add something to the blog.  This is what the children would like to share with you...
We are Young Carers in Tadpole Farm. We help our families with things that they struggle with because we care about them. We may look after our brothers, sisters, mums and dads. We have a Young Carers group, where we do fun things that we sometimes might not get to do at home and we can talk about how we feel - but only if we want to do that.
Miss Milsom, who runs the group with support and advice from Swindon Young Carers Group, commented... The children recognised that the caring that they do links in with our value of generosity that we are looking at this term; they feel that they are generous with their time and show this value at home daily.
